A yes or no tarot reading here is one card. Upright cards usually lean yes. Reversed cards usually lean no. A few cards refuse a clean answer: The Moon stays unclear, The High Priestess says wait, and The Tower leans no even before you look at orientation.

How this yes or no method reads a card

• Major Arcana use a written lean. The Sun upright is yes. The Devil upright is no. The Moon upright is unclear. Each card’s page states both orientations.
• Most Minor Arcana lean yes upright and no reversed.
• Difficult Minor Arcana lean no upright and not yet reversed: Five, Seven, and Ten of Wands; Five, Seven, and Eight of Cups; Three, Five, Seven, Eight, Nine, and Ten of Swords; Five of Pentacles.

Among the Minor Arcana, the Fives of Wands, Cups, and Pentacles, several Swords cards, Seven and Ten of Wands, Seven and Eight of Cups, and related difficult pictures stay cautious even upright.
