The Devil tarot meaning

The Devil tarot card means a bond you are helping to keep. A horned figure stands over two chained people; the chains are loose enough to lift off, and a torch points down. The card is attachment, appetite, and a deal that feels like it cannot be refused.

Upright

Upright, The Devil names compulsion: a habit, a person, a status, a story about yourself that you keep feeding. The loose chains are the uncomfortable part of the picture. The trap has a lock you are holding. Readings here are useful when they get specific about the bargain, including what you think you gain by staying.

Reversed
